Social media high school threat does not affect Daphne High School: officials

Daphne High

Baldwin County Public Schools and Daphne police say a social media image that contained a school threat does not threatened Daphne High School.

The image, circulating on Snapchat, reads, "ATTENTION, ALL DHS students prepare to see my wrath tomorrow."

Officials say the image has "made its way around the country" and may have originated in Texas. There is no specific school named. Officials with Dobie High School, in Texas, have judged the image as not being credible.

"Daphne Police, the FBI and other law enforcement in our area are aware of this image and asked us to thank everyone who has reported it," the school system stated in an announcement.

Late Sunday, the system released a statement saying the threat does not lead back to Daphne or Baldwin County.

"There is no active threat on our schools and we will continue to work with all agencies and schools. Thank you for your patience and reporting anything suspicions or threats," the system stated.
