The 4
th edition of Africa Makeup and Beauty (AMB) Fair, Africa’s
largest beauty trade fair, has been unveiled in Accra with registration of

The Fair, which is

and international beauty brands and products to experience awe-inspiring
artistry from beauty practitioners.

They would also
participate in world-class beauty business education and networking with a
uniquely African twist.

Speaking on the AMB
Fair 2020 with the Ghana News Agency, on Tuesday, Ms Rebecca Donkor, the Chief
Executive Officer of Makeup Ghana said the theme for the 2020 fair is:
“Evolve.”

Africa’s Beauty
Industry is poised for phenomenal growth due to a confluence of factors such as
a growing consumer middle-class; a global trend towards organic products and
products for dark skin and the African Continental Free Trade Area.

However, for the
industry to reap the full benefits of this potential, Ms Donkor said “it must
evolve.”

“Our theme for 2020 is evolve and therefore
AMB Fair itself must also evolve. We are therefore set to bring you the biggest
and most exciting AMB Fair ever in March 2020,” she said.

“Set over the long
Independence holiday, we look forward to hosting large numbers of consumers to
participate in the massive discount sales and fun activities including; the
Battle of the Brushes and Combs, Glam Corner, Bridal Corner, Kids’ Corner, Live
Demonstrations and The Makeup Museum.”

The Beauty Business
Conference is expected to provide keynote sessions and panels on topics
covering retail and sales; manufacturing and regulation; branding and marketing
and technology among others.

Ms Donkoh said: “We
are also introducing the Beauty Business Pitch, a competition to discover
bankable business ideas by young entrepreneurs to receive funding and capacity
building to start their own businesses.”

The fourth edition
of AMB is expected to have exhibitors across a wide range of industry
categories such as: Makeup Brands; Skin Care Brands Hair, Hair Accessories and
Hair Care Brands; Spa, Health And Wellness; Bridal And Beauty Accessories;
