Sunset Resorts Set To Shine In 2021

Good things come to those who wait is how the saying goes and Sunset Resorts has certainly been patient, but it hasn’t been resting on its laurels.

No, the company has been busy rebranding and refurbishing two Montego Bay resorts reacquired from AMResorts in June, although it has indefinitely postponed reopening Oasis at Sunset and Sunset Beach Resort, Spa & Waterpark while Jamaica awaited an increase in visitor traffic from their key feeder markets of the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

However, the resort company has now decided to reopen Oasis at Sunset on Feb. 5, 2021 but the Sunset Beach Resort, Spa & Waterpark will remain closed until July 1, 2021.

The company took that decision after months of carefully monitoring the current state of travel to Jamaica, taking into consideration both increased health and safety protocols for the island and the reduced flight service being offered to Jamaica from its major feeder markets.

Upon examining upcoming bookings, Sunset Resorts determined that Oasis at Sunset — the smaller of the two Montego Bay properties — is better equipped to care for the limited number of guests anticipated during what is usually the Caribbean’s busiest seasons.

The two all-inclusive properties share a campus that’s located about four miles from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.

All activities – including the Pirates Paradise Waterpark that will be a signature amenity at this family-friendly resort duo – will be open for the enjoyment of guests at Oasis at Sunset.

Sunset at the Palms, Sunset Resorts’ boutique, adults-only resort in Negril, reopened in early July and continues to welcome guests every day. Guest satisfaction surveys are at an all-time high, confirming that Sunset’s “safety in paradise” commitment and increased staff training initiatives have resulted in guests feeling both comfortable and safe on their Jamaican vacations.
