Nobu Hospitality will open its first property in Morocco on January 23, located in Marrakech.
This marks the brand’s debut in Africa and the start of a pipeline of openings this year.
Nobu Hotel Marrakech features 71 suites with a design blending Moroccan craftsmanship and contemporary Japanese elements.
Facilities include the city’s first Nobu restaurant and a rooftop garden with a circular pool deck, cabanas, a restaurant, bar and 360-degree panoramic terrace. The rooftop will also play host to DJ sets and local artists.
There’s also a 2,000 sqm spa, with 14 treatment rooms, a fitness centre and three swimming pools.
Additional properties are set to follow in destinations including Los Cabos, Atlantic City, Rome and Toronto.
The hotel brand launched in 2013 with a property in Las Vegas, and is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year with a portfolio of 32 hotels.
