Leaf Spa Opens at AKA Brickell

Leaf Spa, located at the AKA Brickell, opened its doors and celebrated an official grand opening ceremony on April. The spa, located in the heart of the Miami's vibrant cultural center, brings wellness to the mind, body and soul with holistic treatments that connect guests with nature and one another. The Brickell spa is the second location for the Leaf Spa brand, as it opened at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park in 2022.

The event was attended by 200 guests, which includes Miami nobles within the health and wellness community. The program began with a red carpet entry on the hotel's ground floor. A Shamanic band performed as guests made their way from the hotel's luxurious porte-cochère to the elevators where they headed to the hotel's 25th floor where a local DJ provided live entertainment in the hotel's gathering space. Food and beverage was served by ADRIFT Mare, the hotel's restaurant, inspired by the Amalfi Coast. Upon entry, attendees were encouraged to participate in special programming by Leaf Spas, including guided meditations, angel readings, cell-rejuvenation treatments, mini spa sessions and facial gemming using crystals made of clear quartz, which were gifted to all who attended.

The climax of the celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony, which included the Leaf Spa team, including Marizza Contreras and Craig Carter, the Brickell Chamber of Commerce founder Evelio Medina, Anne-Laure de Roode, Marketing & Events Manager of ADRIFT Mare, Sean Flanigan, general manager of AKA Brickell and and Ceci Velasco – Executive Director, The Ocean Drive Association.

Blending time-held traditions with modern-day rituals, Leaf Spa offers luxurious treatments that increase overall well-being. The spa brand focuses on authentic wellness practices inspired by the earth’s natural wonders and seasonal evolutions. The spa’s intention is to bring the mind and body into alignment with nature by shedding old “leaves” and blossoming anew.

Guests were encouraged to visit the spa on the 24th floor, which included the Wish Tree, which represents hope. Each attendee could tie a ribbon onto the Wish Tree in hopes of setting goals for the future. The spa includes a number of amenities, including the locker rooms, saunas, steam room, swimming pool, meditation area, relaxation room, hydrotherapy room, and the House of Knowledge, a gallery wall of plants, herbs and leaves from around the world noting their natural healing benefits.
