A Panama City Beach community host Art in the Park
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A few local artists got the opportunity to show off their talent this afternoon.
The Wild Heron community hosted its Art in the Park event on Sunday and you couldn’t have asked for better weather.
Artist from around Bay County displayed paintings, sculptures, jewelry, t-shirts and other artistic makings.
Humble House Ministries was one of the many booths in attendance. But officials said money isn’t the best thing someone could offer.
“We let them know they can come in and teach a class,” said Ashley Soliz, the Public Relations intern for Humble House. “They can come cook for us or just talk to us because sometimes it’s just to have someone to talk to on the outside,” Soliz continued. “Even if they don’t buy something, they can come speak to us and help out by being there for some of the women.”
Humble House Ministries is a nonprofit that helps women battling addiction. Proceeds from this event will help women who cannot afford to participate in the program. The funds will also help provide toiletries and cover everyday expenses.
