The Latest Selling Points From Three Four Seasons Resorts in Hawaii

Travel Agent recently sat down with representatives of The Four Seasons Resort Lanai; The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea and Four Seasons Resort Hualalai and got the latest selling points for both families and couples heading to the Aloha State this spring and beyond. Here's what we found.

Four Seasons Resort Lanai

New Air Service Exclusive to Guests

Four Seasons Resort Lanai recently launched new, private daily air charter service for guests coming from Honolulu on Lanai Air.

Parties as small as two passengers can book the entire aircraft for their own personal journey, with fares starting at $500 per couple. Two Pilatus PC-12 aircraft will offer customized daily service for travelers.

Planes seat up to eight passengers. One-way tickets are $500 per couple and can be booked through the Lanai Travel Advisor Desk at [email protected]

Additional passengers are $200 for each ticket, to a maximum of $1,100 per flight for parties of up to eight guests.

Yoga With a Twist

Four Seasons Resort Lanai is the latest hotel to add a little a wrinkle to its traditional yoga offerings. Guests can now head to the Lanai Ranch at Koele for "Zaniest Horse Yoga." Taking place at sunset, this unique form of yoga allows guests to interact with horses while they exercise.

Hawanawana Spa’s New Menu, Product Lines

The spa at Four Seasons Resort Lanai has added new product lines, along with a revamped spa menu that includes several new treatments.

New product lines include OSEA Malibu Skincare, KYPRIS Beauty, Soleil Toujours, Ola, Hawaiian Body Products, KNESKO Skin and KOS Paris.

Also, guests at Hawanawana Spa can enjoy complimentary enhancements on a variety of treatments, such as eye and lip treatments; hair and scalp treatments; and hand or foot scrubs.

A selection of treatments include the Lanai Tai Signature Scrub, a honey sugar scrub with fresh active pineapple. For athletic guests, the Sports Massage Series is focused on deep tissue massage therapy dedicated to target areas relating to such activities as golf, tennis and horseback riding.

Petting Miniature Horses and Donkeys

Representing a solid new offering for Hawaii-bound children looking for something a little unusual on Lanai, The Lanai Ranch at Koele recently introduced a new family program involving miniature horses and donkeys.

Guests at the resort can now pet or groom the “minis” as the hotel’s wranglers tell stories about Koele and the paniolo (cowboy) culture on Lanai.

Adults can enjoy a turn in a carriage pulled by the ranch’s Shire horses. For those that would rather get in the saddle, guided trail excursions for riders of all skill levels are offered daily, with a maximum of four people per tour.

The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea

New Experience for Wine Lovers

Four Seasons Resort Maui has launched new experiences exclusive to guests of the resort’s newly renovated residential Elite Suites.

In partnership with Christian Navarro, president and principal at Wally’s Wine & Spirits, the hotel offers a wine tasting and meet-and-greets with some of the 18 sommeliers across the resort.

But the highlight of the program is the “Ultimate Dinner Pairing,” which is designed around wine preferences discovered during a personal consultation with a sommelier and chef.

The private multi-course dinner can be held in-suite, after hours at the Serenity Pool, or at any number of ocean-front venues around the resort.

Learn About Maui’s Cowboy Culture

As part of the resort’s popular “Unforgettable Experiences”  series, Four Seasons Resort Maui recently launched a new “Where the Cowboys Still Roam” experience exclusive to guests.

Where the Cowboys Still Roam offers guests a glimpse into Maui’s undiscovered countryside, known simply as “Upcountry.”

Peter Baldwin, a fifth-generation paniolo hailing from one of the island’s most notable families, will tell stories about the cowboy culture of Maui along with his wife, Susie. Other features of the experience include helicopter transfers and Executive Chef Craig Dryhurst cooking over an open fire.

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai

Five New Poolside "Couples Nests" Now Available

Palm Grove, the resort’s popular pool and reception area, just added five new “Couples Nests,” which are basically hybrids of cabanas and hotel rooms.

The nests surround the pool, and all overlook the ocean. Each private nest includes a customizable mattress, a fully stocked minibar and aroma therapy oils and lotions, as well as two adjacent lounge chairs on the Palm Grove Lawn. The nests come with a pool server, who provides exclusive food and cocktail options. Also, guests staying in a Couples Nest get exclusive spa offerings.

Palm Grove will now also feature daily music with special live musical performances.

New Fish Farming Experience

The resort recently introduced a new fish farming and culinary experience centered around the Hawaiian Kanpachi.

Available only to guests, this experience takes guests on a private tour of the country’s only open-ocean fish farm. In partnership with Blue Ocean Mariculture, the sole producers of Hawaiian Kanpachi, guests will be guided through the full life cycle of the native fish, culminating with a custom dinner highlighting the richly flavorful fish.

Guests will start with a private tour of Blue Ocean Mariculture’s hatchery, located just a few miles from the resort. Here, they will be led through the life of the fish, from egg collection through juvenile growth.

After returning to the resort, the resort’s Ribcraft boat will take guests to the open-ocean pens where they will snorkel with one of the Kanpachi expert caretakers and witness the final stages of the fish’s development from the water.

Finally, a Four Seasons chef prepares a customized lunch for the guests, featuring the Kanpachi prepared in various ways with optional wine pairings.
