There's nothing like a spa break to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the daily grind.

Your phone's off, it's calm and peaceful, and your only responsibility is to completely relax and unwind.

But what if you escaped to a spa that's completely removed from daily life - say, in the middle of the ocean?

That's exactly what's on offer for passengers on board Celebrity Cruises' newest ship Celebrity Edge ,which happens to be home to a seriously luxurious spa.

We're talking over 124 treatments on offer, 23 separate rooms, and a whole host of very cool high-tech features to help guests completely and totally relax.

Of course you need to book on one of the ships' sailings if you want to check it out, but the insiders at Cruise Nation have offered us a sneak peek of what to expect - and it sounds absolutely dreamy.

We take a look at some of the best features that have caught our attention - and to be honest, we're tempted to book a holiday purely for the spa!

(Of course if you are sticking to dry land, you can always book into one of the UK's best spa hotels ).

Everything about The Spa on Celebrity Edge has been designed to offer serene surroundings; the decor is all nature inspired, and was designed in collaboration with Kelly Hoppen MBE.

However, it's the treatment rooms which have really caught our attention.

There are eight 'experiences' on offer in the SEA Thermal Suite, where you'll find heated tile loungers with unrivalled ocean views, ideal for relaxing pre- or post-treatment.

The 'Float Room' is particularly cool, boasting floating basket chairs that rock and sway along with the motion of the sea, with ocean views through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Or guests can relax in the Infrared Sauna which uses state-of-the-art technology by using air heated by an infrared lighting system, which offers all the benefits of natural sun rays without the damage these can cause

Looking for the ultimate meditation spot? The Crystalarium is ideal with its warm stone walls and the amethyst crystal at the centre.

Celebrity Edge boasts a Spa Wave MLW Amphibia table, the first of its kind on board a ship. The table is covered with water-filled cushions and colour therapy lighting that adapts to your body shape so you can truly unwind.

Want a massage?

The WellMassage 4D table offers a deeper massage experience, or you can try the MLX Quartz Table filled with warm crystals that can mould around the body, delivering an experience to release tension unlike any other.
